10 000 downloads on Checklist !

We have reach today 10 000 downloads on the free version of checklist ! It seems quite few compared to the 10 billions downloads the whole market reached this week, but I'm still happy to have reach this number, and it encourages me to continue ! :)

1000 views

Finally my blog reached 1000 views ! Well, that's not much, since January 2011 but I didn't expect much more people to read it. I wonder if it will reach one million one day ! :)

I didn't have updated my apps for some weeks now, although I have much to do to improve them. I must admit I am quite busy "in real life" since the beginning of August. I expect to have more time in January, maybe December. But I don't forget my users !

Expenses recorder update

Expenses recorder has been updated with some improvements.

As some users have asked, I have also released a paid version, with no ads, and no internet access authorization request. It's at the minimal price of 0.99$ or 0.70€. Both versions have same functionalities.

Work in progress

Hello,

I have released this week some changes on Checklist and Home Inventory, mainly some bug fixes.

The problem in Checklist described in my previous message is now fixed, thanks to a user report. It's easier to work when I have necessary informations !

I don't forget other apps, as I was asked for improvements, mainly for Expenses Recorder. They will come this month I hope. I'm a bit late, but I was very busy these last weeks.

Checklist update

I have release this week a new update on checklist. You now have the ability to lock the order of items, so you may not unwillingly modify this order when you just want to scroll a checklist.

But I saw today this comment from Jim on Android Market :

It was great top notch app until last update - now I can't get in - all it does is force close. It is totally useless now. HELP - I NEED MY LIST!
Please, please, PLEASE, don't use the market to report such bugs, email me instead !!! I didn't have receive any error reports, and all my tests are OK ! I have NO WAY to contact you to ask questions about this bug ! How am I supposed to help you ???

Checklist export functionality

In android market comments, Steven wrote about checklist :

I love it. However it has an error everytime I try to export
Please, could you send me by mail what error message you get ? Error on export can have several possible causes, and more informations about this issue you give, easier it will be for me to fix it !

If someone else noticed that, please contact me as well.

Also, don't forget I can't answer comments on android market. Of course, they are welcome, even for negative feedback, but don't forget to check my answers on my blog ! (go in the appropriate section)

Well I was dreaming of it.... and google did it :)

I discovered today that google added an option (still in beta) to activate the mobile version of blogs. Well I have click on it immediately, as most of my few readers will read it from their phone (at least, I think).

I have make some corrections on Checklist and Home inventory these last days. I will continue to update and add features to my five tiny apps.

Expiry reminder demo released

I have released on android market, yesterday evening, "expiry reminder demo".

This app will allow you to track susbcription and warranty expiry, inserting entries in your phone's calendar.

This demo version is limited to 2 events (subscription, warranty or other) and is still in beta version, as I was able to test it only with 2.2 : the calendar app isn't available in android test emulator ...

I will wait a bit before releasing the full (and paid :p ) version.

Meanwhile, I won't start to build an other app. I will concentrate now on improving my other apps already available.

Home inventory update

As promised, a new functionality was add. You now have the possibility to manage the number of units in each product.

For example, if you have the product type "water pack", you can declare this product to contain 6 units. In any screen showing product, use long touch to pop contextual menu, and choose the option "Take out units".

I will update tutorial soon.

Some problems with Home inventory Lite

Yes, I got some (too much in fact) crashes with Home Inventory Lite, and I had to deliver several versions since the v1.0 initially delivered on market.

It should be definitely resolved now ... but I'll have to change the way I designed the screen chaining in Lite version.

Sorry for inconvenience.

Expenses recorder update

new update on expenses recorder. Well it needed that because there was some problems.

First, screen rotation has been fixed. The fields won't reset anymore when turning your phone.

Payments methods will now be linked to an account. You won't see anymore credit card for account X when adding an expense for account Y.

File import/export in checklist

I have add today the functionalitty to import and export checklist in the checklist app.

Use menu item on main screen to import a checklist. It must be a text file containing the items on separate lines. Don't try to import .doc or .odt, it won't work (it won't crash either).

To export a checklist :
  • Either use context menu with a long touch on main screen
  • Or go into a checklist, and touch menu item "export".
Files will be exported in a directory "checklist" on sdcard.

Blog opening now !

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

Well, shouldn't be much people reading at the moment, but I needed some website to talk about my apps, explain how they work, and put the link in android market.

My apps ? Well, I don't have much of them at the moment, and they don't seem to interest much people. But well, I could at least make my first steps with android programming.

You can find them by typing "BH Soft" in market search field, but don't expect awesome stuff yet :p
